Jenni Malsam – Official
Awards/Honors:
Jenni has been a volleyball official for 35 years. She has worked 17 state tournaments and 7 state championship matches. Her latest finals match was at the 2014 tournament. Jenni has been on the IGHSAU Advisory Committee from 2004-06, and served as a rules meeting presenter from 1998-2008. Jenni was the Siouxland Officials Association Volleyball Education Chair from 2007-2012. She has been a member of the same association since 2000, serving as President in 2000 and 2001. She was named Siouxland Official of the Year in 2012 and the National Federation Officials Association Iowa Volleyball Official of the Year in 2000-01. Jenni and her husband, Joe, have 4 children: John, Katie, Joseph, and Annie, and 6 grandchildren. Jenni works for the Jackson Recovery Center as a Prevention Specialist

Kathy Bresnahan – Coach
Awards/Honors:
Kathy, known as Bres, coached at Iowa City West and Benton, Wisconsin. She came to Iowa City West in 1987. She spent 24 seasons at West, from 1987-2000, and 2005-2013. Bres compiled a 584-184 record. She took the Trojans to 7 state tournaments. She won back to back state titles in 2010 and 2011. Bren was the State Coach of the Year in both championship seasons. Bres won 8 Mississippi Valley Conference Coach of the Year awards and coached the Senior All Stars in 1998. Bres coached 22 Division I Athletes. She was named 2011 PrepVolleyball.com National Coach of the Year and 2012 Children of Promise Coach of the Year. Bres was on the Senior All-Star Selection Committee from 1996-99, the All-State Selection Committee for 8 years, and was on the All-Tournament Selection Team at the State Tournament in 1990. Bres founded Top Dog Volleyball Club in 1994. During her time away from being a head coach, Bres was an official and worked the state tournament in 2002 and 2003. Bres is currently teaching health at Iowa City West High School.

Linda Christensen – Coach
Awards/Honors:
Linda had three stops in her coaching career. Dodge, Nebraska, Sioux City North, and Hinton. She was successful at all three schools. She has a career record of 368-99-26. Her longest coaching assignment was at Sioux City North where she led the Stars to 7 state tournaments, winning the state championship in 1982. She coached at North for 11 years, took a span of 17 years off, and then resurfaced at Hinton. During her only year there, she took them to the state tournament reaching the semi-finals. While at Hinton, she won District Coach of the Year in 2005. During Linda’s time away from high school coaching she started the Hinton club volleyball program in 1998, approximately the time of her daughter’s playing career. Linda hosted club tournaments and coached the Hinton Volleyball club high school team from 2002-05. During her daughter’s senior year, Linda was head coach at Hinton. Linda has been married to Terry for over 40 years. They have one daughter, Tara. Linda is retired from teaching and lives in Hinton.
